As speculation continues over when Gordon Brown will go the polls, the Labour Party has appointed a new director of general election resources.
The party confirmed on Wednesday that Jon Mendelsohn would join the team as a volunteer in the newly created role from September 3 in the build up to the next general election.
Getting the troops in to position, Gordon? Surely October isn't on the cards... surely. Or are you just winding the Tories up?
