The Future of Poliblogs

Iain Dale is reporting that he is putting the finishing touches to this year's political blogging guide. When the book is published I will be adding to my list of blogs that I monitor to ensure that all the top 100 are included. I will also add one or two more that I think are worthy of a daily read and taking out a couple that I presently monitor (mainly because they have packed it in).

The number of blogs I am looking to monitor will be around 200. Any more and I simply will not be able to keep up. So, if between now and the end of next month you have come across any good blogs that you think I should be reading let me know and I will put them in the mix. Once I have max'ed out at 200 I will be more ruthless in who I monitor and who I don't monitor - only the form bloggers will make the cut.

As always, the final decision rest with me!

Sounds like an excellent plan.

Just a thought... It would be useful to have a complete list of the blogs you are monitoring either via the blogroll (I've noticed some blogs you link to are not in this) or by some link to a post with them all listed.

Then if anyone feels you a missing a top political blog then they can let you know.

James - thanks for raising this point. I should explain...

The blogs on the right are the blogs I monitor every day. Sometimes I look at more if I find the time and other times I get directed to sites via other sites (e.g. libdem blogs). My claim that I monitor 143 blogs a day is the minimum (but also the regular figure).

Basically, if you are not in the right hand blogroll, let me know...
